How to find a niche product to sell online?
There are so many niche markets in the internet. How can I find one that really could attract targeted buyers?
Is there a right way to answer this question?
10 years ago the Internet was mainly about Technology. That’s just not the case anymore.
How can you find the right niche for you?
1. Determine what you like. I just did a silly search on Google for "underwater basket weaving" (with quotes) and found that there are 35,900 people targeting that specific keyword phrase. So it really doesn’t matter what you like or what you are good at. On the Internet you will be able to find an audience.
2. Create a free account with http://CJ.com where you can find "hard good" related products to market for most any niche.
3. Create a free account with http://ClickBank.com and look for related E-book type material that your audience will find of value.

1) add your site to as many search engine listings as you can find, ie http://uk.search.yahoo.com/freesubmit/submit
2) make sure you add meta tags to your website (key words which you list then when people search for those keywords your site will come up in the results) – all part of SEO – search engine optimisation
3) put your website address on all your business stationary – letterheads, invoices, compliments slips, delivery slips, envelopes, parcel packaging, business cards etc etc
4) promote your website by adding it to your email signature on both business and personal emails
5) join as many social networking sites as you can ie hi5, bebo, tagged, facebook, myspace, yahoo 360 etc and add your web address

First, I like Adam’s response and would encourage you to check out more of what he was talking about.
Second, there are so many niche markets out there that the question really isn’t how do you find a "niche market" but rather how does it find you. What are your interests? Your likes? Your dislikes? Decide upon that and then "niche down".
"Niching down" means that if you decide that APPLES will be your niche quickly realize that that term is far to generic and "niche down" to something like "Washington State red delicious apples". Now you know exactly who your target market is and it becomes much easier to reach that exact

I would simply recommend positioning yourself to be the authority in the niche.
1. Determine how big your focus is: the neighborhood? the city? the region? worldwide?
2. Research your competitiors. What are they doing right? What could they be doing better? Talk to niche leaders who are outside of your target area, and see if they will answer some of your questions.
3. Write a business

NICHE MAARKETING
Market segments are normally large identifiable groups within a market—for example, luxury car buyers, performance car buyers, utility car buyers, and economy car buyers. Niche marketing (or “niching”) focuses on subgroups within these segments. A “niche” is a more narrowly defined group, usually identified by dividing a segment into subsegments or by defining a group with a distinctive set of traits which may seek a special combination of benefits.
For example, the utility vehicles segment might include light-duty pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles (SUVs). And the sport utility vehicles subsegment might be further divided into standard SUV (as served by Ford and Chevrolet) and luxury SUV (as served by Lexus) niches.
Whereas segments are fairly large and normally attract several competitors, niches are smaller and normally attract only one or a few competitors. Niche marketers presumably understand their niches’ needs so well that their customers willingly pay a price premium.
